Who we are

Forkeep is operated by Константин Волков. For privacy questions or requests, email ret.kol.az@gmail.com. This policy covers the Forkeep iOS app and forkeep.space.

02 / DATA

Information we handle

• Account: an Apple account identifier, the name Apple shares when you first sign in, and an optional profile image. Older accounts may also have a username and password hash.
• Recipe material: links you submit, publicly available post details, downloaded videos and images, previews, and generated recipes in supported languages.
• App activity: saved recipes, cooked status, ratings, and plan or usage status. Before registration, we collect onboarding steps, sign-in outcomes and feature interactions using random installation and session identifiers. After sign-in, the session is linked to your account to measure registration and purchase conversion. Event properties do not include recipe text, entered ingredients, submitted URLs, your name, Apple credentials or passwords.
• Notifications and technical records: a device push token and language when you enable notifications, plus server request records such as IP address, request time, and error details needed to operate and protect the service.

03 / PURPOSE

Why we use it

We use this information to sign you in, retrieve submitted public media, create and store recipes, sync your cookbook, deliver requested notifications, apply plan limits, prevent abuse, resolve failures, and respond to support or privacy requests. Where applicable, processing needed to provide the service is based on your use of Forkeep; security and reliability processing supports our legitimate interests. Notifications are optional and controlled in iOS settings.

Recipe extraction uses automated analysis. It can misread ingredients, timings, nutrition, or preparation steps. Review a recipe before cooking, especially for allergens and food safety.

04 / SHARING

Other services

Forkeep uses Apple for Sign in with Apple and push notifications. To fetch public posts it may use the source platform, TikWM, Bright Data, or other configured retrieval tools. Kie.ai processes media and related text to generate recipe details. Submitted links and public media may be sent to those services when needed for your request. Our application database and S3-compatible media storage run on infrastructure we control.

AI recipe discovery searches structured recipes across Forkeep without exposing contributor account identifiers, private notes, source links or stored videos. When you create a share link, the link makes a limited recipe preview public; signed-in recipients can view and save the shared structured recipe. Anyone who receives the link can forward it. Removing the original recipe, collection or account disables its share links.

These providers can process information in other countries under their own terms. We do not sell your personal information. With your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, Forkeep uses the TikTok Business SDK to measure ads. TikTok receives device and advertising identifiers, technical connection information, app installation and opening events, registration and paywall interactions, and verified purchase or trial events, including product, transaction identifier, amount and currency when available. We do not send recipe content, notes, email addresses, names or our account identifiers to TikTok. Advertising event collection starts only after permission is granted. You can withdraw permission in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking; Forkeep remains usable without it. TikTok processes this information under its own privacy policy.

05 / RETENTION

Storage and deletion

Your active account and saved recipes remain available until you delete them. Deleting a recipe removes it from your library and queues its stored media for removal. Deleting your account in the app immediately blocks access, then queues removal of account records, recipes, ratings, push tokens, profile images, and stored media. If the cleanup service is temporarily unavailable, it retries.

Detailed product analytics events are retained for 90 days. Account-linked analytics and published share records are removed with account deletion. Random local analytics identifiers are reset after account deletion.

Operational backups and security records can outlast deletion from the active service while needed for recovery, investigation, or legal obligations. They are not used to restore deleted recipes to your account. Cached recipe previews on your device are cleared when you sign out; iOS may retain system-managed copies until its own cleanup.

Your choices

You can delete individual recipes or request account deletion from the app’s Account screen. You can disable push notifications in iOS Settings. For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, contact ret.kol.az@gmail.com. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting. Depending on your location, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

07 / WEBSITE

This website

The landing page does not create an account, set advertising cookies, or run analytics. It loads a background video from CloudFront and fonts or icons from Google Fonts, OnlineWebFonts, and cdnjs. Those providers receive ordinary browser request information, including IP address and user agent, when their files load.
